Cannes Film Festival
This photo came up on our Facebook page yesterday, liked by a friend. One of the interesting things that people may not know about the Cannes Film Festival is that most of the fun happens at private parties, all around the region.
The image was captured at Cannes Goes to Space, hosted by Fashion Week Cannes. It’s one of our faves as it has a certain vintage feeling that offers the romanticist view of the festival.

Toronto Fashion Week, (also known as World MasterCard Fashion Week) is a bi-annual fashion week held in Toronto, Canada. It is the largest fashion week held in Canada and the second-largest fashion week in North America, after New York.

World MasterCard Fashion Week (Toronto Fashion Week)
UNTTLD is the ongoing collaborative work of Montreal designers José Manuel St-Jacques and Simon Bélanger. José graduated at Cégep Marie Victorin in Fashion design before going to Concordia University to perfect his textile knowledge and technique in the Fibre program of the Fine Art faculty. Simon Bélanger: a graduate of the Fashion Design program of the Lasalle College, went on to do his Masters at the Domus Academy of Milan.

We’re at Paris Fashion Week!
Paris Fashion Week is an apparel trade show held semi-annually in Paris, France with Spring / Summer and Autumn / Winter events held each year. Dates are determined by the French Fashion Federation. Currently, Fashion Week is held in the Carrousel du Louvre, as well as at various other venues throughout the city.
Paris Fashion Week is part of the Big 4 fashion weeks internationally, the others being London Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week. The schedule begins with New York, followed by London, and then Milan, and ending the events in Paris.
Paris Fashion Week | Mode à Paris
Rabih Kayrouz is praised for his architectural cuts and exacting construction, but the designer’s approach is far from rational. Emotion is the crux of his ready-to-wear label, which launched in 2009 with the opening of Maison Rabih Kayrouz in Paris. He works instinctively to design garments that embody comfort, confidence and, most importantly, joy.
Beyond pragmatism and pleasure, Kayrouz’s work reflects exceptional craftsmanship. It was this delicate balance that won over the international press and the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, who invited him to participate in the official calendar of couture fashion shows in 2009. Kayrouz had been designing dresses for private clients since 1998, but the decision to include his premier collection marked a first in couture. He later joined the ready-to-wear calendar, debuting in Paris in March 2012.

We’re In New York for Fashion Week
The semi-annual New York Fashion Week, branded Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in 2009, is held in February and September of each year in New York City. It is one of four major fashion weeks held around the world along with those in Paris, London, and Milan.

Norisol Ferrari is a quintessential New Yorker. Born just outside of Manhattan and of Venezuelan descent, she found her independence at a young age. Growing up in the 80s, she gravitated towards the exploding music and nightlife scene of lower Manhattan. Looking to express her self-identity, she handcrafted original and daring looks for herself and friends. An avid researcher, Norisol worked and lived around the globe, absorbing the rich cultures of Spain, Italy, England, and France. Stepping outside of her own community allowed Norisol to see firsthand the exquisite quality and craftsmanship of some of her most revered designers. Upon her return to New York with a new and greater understanding of the design process and a passion to empower women of the world, Norisol turned her attention to the art of fine tailoring and began working with the best craftsmen in New York launching her own Ready-to-Wear collection in 2010.

BRANDON SUN began his fashion career after graduating from Parsons School of Design where he was honored with the coveted “Designer of the Year” title and the Gold Thimble. Previously, he won the National Scholarship from both the CFDA and the YMA and held internships with Jeffrey Chow and Calvin Klein. After his graduation, Brandon began working with two of the most distinguished American luxury brands: J.Mendel and Oscar de la Renta.
